These are paintings I made to celebrate 50 years since the Apollo mission. They are based them on my amazing trip to Kennedy space centre earlier this year.
The five dinosaur drawings are for a project I did with students called ‘Jurassic Park reimagined’. It was to both celebrate 25 years since the films initial release and also as a nod to the difference in understanding of how dinosaurs may have looked since then and now.
I love abstract and abstract expressionist artwork. I love seeing an artist take just shapes, colour texture and composition and create a wonderful painting with balance and presence. My own abstract art takes ideas from NASA flight paths, orbital mechanics and planetary photography.

I am fascinated by the Russian space shuttle Buran and saw one of the remaining ones in Moscow last year.
I use a mixture of materials, some professional art materials, marbling inks, acrylic and oil paint. Copic markers and Household emulsion.
